## Overview

 

 

 

  
MPPCompact offers an efficient solution for the treatment of hydrocarbons in small streams. This advanced technology ensures up to **99.9% safe and efficient removal** of these hydrocarbons, achieving a **flow rate of up to 3,000 liters per hour (l/h)** on a **compact footprint** no larger than 4 square meters.  
  
If the wastewater streams are sufficiently concentrated, the solution has the capability to recover these valuable hydrocarbons and seamlessly reintegrate them into the production process.

MPPCompact units are fully automated, simplifying the treatment process and reducing waste handling and transportation requirements.  
  
Beyond cost savings, MPPCompact also plays a crucial role in closing the wastewater cycle. By leveraging this compact and automated solution, you can achieve improved **efficiency and meet environmental sustainability targets.**  
  
**Compact and versatile**

- The **extraction media** incorporates an immobilized extraction liquid within the media, effectively extracting dissolved hydrocarbons through a difference in partition coefficient.
- The **sorption media** employs adsorption to eliminate target compounds from [wastewater](/en/applications/industrial-wastewater-treatment "Industrial wastewater treatment").

Both media operate under similar conditions, making them ideal for application in the MPPCompact without any modification to the solution.

###  Why is hydrocarbon removal from wastewater challenging?

  

Removing dissolved hydrocarbons is a cost/energy and space-intensive process using conventional technology. For small streams many companies choose to incinerate the whole stream rather than spend a significant amount on treating it.



 

 

 

 



###  Is it possible to recover hydrocarbons from wastewater?

  

Yes! MPPE/MPPS technology can remove hydrocarbons up to 99.9% and even recover these hydrocarbons for further use or sale.



 

 

 

 



###  What is sorption media?
